ENGINEERING PRACTICES LABORATORY

  • To provide exposure to the students with hands on experience

  • To provide exposure to Practices in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

ELECTRIC CIRCUITS LABORATORY

  • To provide exposure to the students with hands on experience in electrical circuits

  • To provide practical experience of electrical circuits and verifying circuit theorems.

  • To provide practical experience of simulation of electrical circuits and verifying circuit theorems.

Equipment's:

Regulated power supply , Function Generator ,Energy meter , DSO,CRO, Laser Printer

Software's:

Simulation software , MATLAB with PC

 

LINEAR AND DIGITAL INTEGRATED   CIRCUITS LABORATORY

  • To provide exposure to learn design, testing of circuit behavior

  • To understand Working Practice in simulators / CAD Tools / Experiment test bench

  • To get a clear idea of  characterizing of circuit behavior with digital and analog ICs.

Equipments:

Dual variable power supply,CRO,Digital multimeter,Analog IC tester,Bread Board,PC

Software's:

MATLAB,PSPICE

 

OBJECT ORIENTED PROGRAMMING LABORATORY

  • To get a clear understanding of object-oriented concepts.

  • To understand object oriented programming through C++

  • To understand object oriented programming through  JAVA

ELECTRICAL MACHINES LABORATORY – I

  • To expose the students to the operation of D.C. generators

  • To expose the students to the operation of D.C.Motors

  • To expose the students to the operation of transformers

  • To understand the characteristics of DC Machines

  • To expose the testing  of DC Machines with experimental skill.

CONTROL AND INSTRUMENTATION LABORATORY

  • To provide knowledge on analysis of electrical system and

  • To provide knowledge on design of control system

  • To understand the control system along with basics of Instrumentation

  • To expose the students to the operation of instruments

  • To get a clear idea of  characterizing of measuring instruments

ELECTRICAL MACHINES LABORATORY – II

  • To expose the students to the operation of Alternators

  • To expose the students to the operation of Induction Motors

  • To expose the students to the operation of transformers

  • To understand the characteristics of AC Motors

  • To expose the testing  of AC Machines with experimental skill.

  • To expose the students to the operation of synchronous machines

Synchronous motor,Three phase alternator,Slip ring induction motor,Three phase induction motor,Single phase induction motor,BLDC motor,Single phase auto transformer,Three phase autotransformer,Resistive load bank,SPST switch,Tacho meter.

 

POWER ELECTRONICS AND DRIVES LABORATORY

  • To provide hands on experience with power electronic converter

  • To expose the students to the design of power electronics converters

  • To expose the students to the testing of power electronics devices.

SCR,MOSFET,TRIAC,IGBT,SCR based half controlled converter,Single phase PWM inverter, Three phase PWM inverter,Switched mode power converter,Single phase AC controller,Cyclo converter kit,Dual RPS,CRO,Isolation Transformer,Auto transformer,LCR meter, Rheostats,Multimeter,AC and DC ammeter,Required Capacitance ,Resistance,Inductance,PC.

MICROPROCESSORS AND MICROCONTROLLERS LAB

  • To provide training on programming of microprocessors

  • To provide training on programming of  microcontrollers

  • To understand the interface requirements.

8085 Microprocessor,8051Microcontroller ,8255 interface board,8251&8259 interface board, 8279 Keyboard / Display Interface board, 8254 timer counter, ADC and DAC card, AC & DC motor with Controller, Traffic Light System Control

 

POWER SYSTEM SIMULATION LABORATORY

  • To provide better understanding of power system analysis

  • To provide training on programming of  digital simulation of load flow studies,Transmission line parameters.

  • To provide training on programming of  digital simulation of short circuit analysis

  • To understand the electromagnetic transient in power system through digital simulation

  • To provide training on programming of  digital simulation of Economic dispatch analysis
